Internal Audit Services

Since its inception, 2020 Global has supplied internal audit services as a core activity, with its client base being predominantly Western Australian government agencies. When the previous CUA 23706 audit and financial services contract was established, 2020 Global’s experience was recognised through its approval to supply all service categories.

External Audit Services

Provision of external audit services for financial statements for a variety of not for profit organisations. This also includes completion of financial acquittals of funding for the provision of assurance to State and Commonwealth agencies.

Financial Due Diligence Services

In procurement, due diligence refers to the process of properly identifying the entity with whom the contract will be formed, assessing the authenticity of the material provided by the respective tenderer and highlighting any risks associated with the tenderer.

Probity Advisory and Assurance

2020 Global has provided Probity Advisory services for a number Key Government projects providing assurance to both the Government Agency and industry participants of the fairness and equity in the procurements being undertaken. This assurance minimises the risk disputes arising surrounding the evaluation processes adopted and protects all participants from the loss of time and costs of re-tendering.

Financial Accounting Assistance

Smaller Government agencies often do not have the resources of either personnel or budget to retain financial professionals to meet all of their operational or compliance requirement.

Financial Training

Provision of financial training to Government employees and not-for-profit entities for the Western Australian Department of Finance.

We have gained the confidence of a large number of State Government agencies in the areas of probity audit, governance, risk management, financial systems review, compliance audit and all aspects of government financial controls and management.

Office of the Auditor General*

In 2009 we were appointed by the Office to supply the Office with comprehensive internal audit services. The initial three-year term was extended by two, one-year options exercised by the Office and concluded in 2014.

Corruption and Crime Commission*

Full comprehensive audit services were provided to the Commission for including the completion of compliance, performance and IT Controls audits.

Department of Jobs Tourism Science and Innovation*

In 2019 we were appointed as the Department’s primary internal audit provider for compliance and performance audit services.

Tourism WA*

Since 2012 we have provided a number internal audit services to the Agency.

Department of Premier and Cabinet*

In 2021 we were appointed as the Department’s primary internal audit provider for compliance and performance audit services.

Ombudsman of WA*

We were appointed in 2019 to review and develop a three-year Strategic Internal Audit Plan for the Office and undertake their Financial Management and Forensic Procurement Audits in 2021. We prepared the Office’s Strategic Internal Audit Plan for 2021 to 2024. We have undertaken audits of financial compliance and complaints management practices.

Economic Regulation Authority*

Appointed in 2016 and prepared Strategic Internal Audit plan. Executed internal audit program and other compliance reviews for four years

Department of Finance

Numerous internal audit service contracts have been completed for the Department over the last 12 years, including reviews of a number of CUA suppliers to ensure that they were complying with their contracts.

Department of Health and Metropolitan Health Services

A large number of compliance and performance (operational) internal audit service contracts have been fulfilled spanning over 19 years, with the director also supplying services to the Department prior to establishing 2020 Global.

Department of the Attorney General

For the last four years we have provided procurement and financial evaluation services to the Department in relation to several major contracts. Initially providing costing model services, we subsequently undertook due diligence work on shortlisted proponents.

Department of Planning Lands and Heritage/WAPC

We performed data migration audits from pre-Machinery of Government entities and a number of process audits in 2018/19 on behalf of the new department.
